Calendar with measuring visits and fittings for the week

What is flooring scheduling software?

Flooring scheduling software books measuring visits and fittings against real jobs, so you can see who is where, avoid double-bookings and keep customers informed. In PlanCutFit, jobs waiting to be booked sit next to the calendar. Drag one onto a day and pick the fitters, and the customer gets a booking message and a reminder the day before. Fitters see their jobs, the plan and the cuts on their phone, and sign the job off on site.

Plans start at £49 a month, with a free trial and no card needed. See pricing

How it works

How flooring scheduling software works in PlanCutFit

  1. 1

    See what needs booking

Accepted jobs waiting for a survey or fitting date, in one list.

  2. 2

    Book it

Drag the job onto a day, set the time and pick the fitters.

  3. 3

    Customer told

Booking message now, reminder the day before.

  4. 4

    Fitter on site

Today’s jobs, the plan and cuts, photos and sign-off.

A calendar built around flooring jobs

Week and month views of surveys and fittings, each one linked to its job, so the plan, the quote and the materials are a tap away. Drag a visit to another day if plans change, and undo it if you moved the wrong one.

  • Surveys and fittings on one calendar
  • Drag to book or move
  • Every visit linked to its job

Never double-book a fitter

Pick who is going on each visit. If that fitter is already booked at the same time, you get a warning before you save. Set your working days and hours, and closed days are greyed out.

  • Clash warning per fitter
  • Working days and hours
  • Visit notes from ready-made templates

Customers kept in the loop, automatically

When you book, move or cancel a visit, the customer gets a text or email straight away, and a reminder before the visit (the day before, unless you set a different time). Choose which messages go out in your settings.

  • Booked, moved and cancelled messages
  • Reminder the day before
  • Text or email, you choose

The fitter’s day on their phone

Fitters see today’s and this week’s jobs in the order you set, with a map link for each address. They open the job sheet with the plan and cuts, take photos and get the customer to sign, even with no signal.

  • Day’s fittings in driving order
  • Job sheet, plan and cuts
  • Photos and customer sign-off

Worked example

Example: a fitting has to move from Thursday to Friday

  • Drag the fitting from Thursday to Friday on the calendar
  • If the fitter is already booked on Friday at that time, you’re warned before it saves
  • The customer gets a message with the new date, and Thursday’s reminder is replaced by one for Friday
  • The job shows on the fitter’s phone on Friday, with the plan, cuts and address

No phone calls to make, and nothing to update in three places.

What to look for in flooring scheduling software

A shared calendar shows where people are. Scheduling software for flooring should also know about the job behind each visit. Here is what to check, and how PlanCutFit does on each.

  1. 1

Jobs waiting to be booked are easy to see

Accepted jobs without a survey or fitting date sit beside the calendar, so nothing waits for a date by accident.

  2. 2

It stops clashes before they happen

Booking a fitter who is already out at that time gives a warning, and days you don’t work are closed.

  3. 3

Customers are told without you picking up the phone

Booked, moved, cancelled and day-before messages go out by text or email, and you choose which ones.

  4. 4

Fitters get the job, not just the time

The fitter’s app shows the address, the plan, the cuts and the notes, works offline, and records photos and the customer’s signature.

  5. 5

It is connected to the rest of the job

The same job carries the quote, the deposit, the material order and the invoice, so the office can see where every job is.

  6. 6

    Calendar sync

PlanCutFit doesn’t sync with Google or Outlook calendars yet. Your team works from the PlanCutFit calendar and the fitter’s app.

Questions

Flooring scheduling software: questions people ask

Can my fitters see their schedule?

Yes. Each fitter sees their own jobs for today and the week in the fitter’s app, with times, addresses and a map link. They don’t see your prices.

Do customers get reminders?

Yes. They get a message when a survey or fitting is booked, moved or cancelled, and a reminder before the visit, 24 hours ahead unless you change it. You choose text, email or both, and which messages go out.

Can I book surveys as well as fittings?

Yes. Surveys and fittings are both on the calendar, each linked to the job, with ready-made notes for things like a re-measure or a template visit.

Does it sync with Google Calendar or Outlook?

Not yet. Your team works from the PlanCutFit calendar and the fitter’s app, which also carry the job details a shared calendar wouldn’t.

How many fitters can I add?

The Shop plan includes a team, with roles for owner, office, estimator and fitter. On the Sole trader plan you can add a teammate, which also unlocks the fitter’s app.

Does it work with no signal?

Yes. Measuring, quoting, photos and job updates all work offline and save on your phone. Everything uploads when you’re back in range, and it shows you if anything is still waiting.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at £49 a month for a sole trader and £199 a month for a shop with a team, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed. Card payments from customers go through Stripe, so Stripe’s fees apply; bank transfers are free.
