What is carpet fitter software?
PlanCutFit is carpet fitter software for UK carpet and flooring fitters. You draw each room and staircase on your phone, it works out how the carpet comes off a 4 m or 5 m roll with the joins, pile direction and waste, prices it with your own rates, and sends a quote the customer can accept and pay a deposit on. It works with no signal on site.
Plans start at £49 a month, with a free trial and no card needed. See pricing
How it works
How carpet fitter software works in PlanCutFit
- 1
Measure
Draw each room to size on your phone, add doors, stairs and odd shapes.
- 2
Plan the cuts
See how it comes off the roll, where the joins go and what you waste.
- 3
Quote
Your carpet, underlay, gripper and fitting prices go in. Check the profit and send.
- 4
Get paid
They accept and pay the deposit online. Reminders chase the balance.
Roll maths done for you
Pick the carpet and it plans the cuts on the roll: how many drops, where the joins fall, which way the pile runs and how much is left over. Not happy with it? Move the cuts yourself and it saves your plan on the job.
- 4 m and 5 m rolls, or any width you stock
- Joins and pile direction drawn on the plan
- Waste shown before you price it

Stairs without the guesswork
Add straight flights, winders and landings and price them per tread. The stairs go on the same cut plan as the rooms, so the order is right first time.
- Per-tread pricing
- Landings and winders
- On the same quote as the rooms

Quotes with your prices and your margin
Every quote uses your carpets, underlays and fitting rates. You see the profit before you send, and the quote goes out with your logo, the floor plan picture, VAT and the deposit.
- Profit check before you send
- Email, PDF or a link for WhatsApp
- Revisions kept, numbered Q-0001…

Deposits paid before you order the carpet
The customer opens the quote on their phone, signs it and pays the deposit by bank transfer or card. Invoices and reminders take care of the balance.
- Signature on the quote
- Bank transfer or card (Stripe)
- Reminders stop once they pay

Worked example
Example: a 4.6 m × 3.8 m lounge on a 4 m roll
- Room: 17.5 m²
- One drop of 4.70 m off a 4 m roll (pile running the long way): 18.8 m² ordered
- Gripper round the walls: about 16.8 m
- Underlay, gripper, fitting and door bars added from your price list
Figures are an example. In the app the plan uses your real room shapes and your roll widths.

Questions
Carpet fitter software: questions people ask
Is it built for carpet fitters or general trades?
Carpet and flooring only. It knows about roll widths, joins, pile direction, stairs, underlay, gripper and door bars, which general job software doesn’t.
Does it do stairs?
Yes. Add straight flights, winders and landings, and price them per tread. They’re added to the cut plan with the rooms.
Does it use my own prices?
Yes. You add your products, underlays, accessories and fitting rates once, with your cost and sell prices. Every quote uses them, and you see your profit on the job before you send it.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. Measuring, quoting, photos and job updates all work offline and save on your phone. Everything uploads when you’re back in range, and it shows you if anything is still waiting.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at £49 a month for a sole trader and £199 a month for a shop with a team, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed. Card payments from customers go through Stripe, so Stripe’s fees apply; bank transfers are free.
I’m a one-man band. Is it too much?
No. The Sole trader plan is made for one fitter: measure, quote, get paid and keep track of who owes you. Add a teammate later if you take someone on.
